Kit Redmond
CEO/ Executive Producer RTR Media

Kit is the Chief Executive Officer and Owner of RTR Media Inc. 

She’s created/ produced and commissioned a wealth of lifestyle, factual entertainment and documentary series, such as Income Property, Mother of the Bride, Summer Home, From the Ground Up with Debbie Travis, Instant Beauty Pageant, and WTN's documentary series, Through Her Eyes. 

RTR's current slate includes the new one hour version of Income Property for HGTV Canada and HGTV US.  Mother of the Bride and Lost and Sold for SLICE and BBQ Crawl for Travel and Escape. RTR also runs the CORAL youtube channel.  Kit also has with her partners Carolynne Bell and Al Magee formed a new company called StoryPark, devoted to developing scripted projects.  

Kit has worked with and for broadcasters across Canada and the United States. Her positions included, reporter, host, producer, development director, production executive, documentary commissioning editor and executive producer.

Kit is the winner of the WIFT Mentorship award, The Innoversity Angel Award and the Female Eye, Maverick Award, The Canadian Screen Award for Best Lifestyle producer for Income Property. She is past vice-chair of WIFT-Toronto, and is currently is the Bell/Banff Mentor for the Bell Fellowship program. Kit sits on the CMPA new business model committee.

   

Jenna Keane
Creative Head/Executive Producer

Jenna is RTR’s Creative Head and Executive Producer.  She’s currently exec producing Income Property and Summer Home along with developing new concepts in all genres of reality and lifestyle programming. 

Prior to joining RTR, Jenna spent a number of years as a Production Executive at HGTV Canada overseeing the creative on many shows including Holmes on Homes, Holmes Inspection, and Sarah’s House.  Jenna worked closely with Producers to develop and launch many popular shows including Disaster DIY and Property Virgins. She also spent time as a PE for Food Network Canada. As a freelancer,  Jenna was a Showrunner, Field Director and Story Editor in lifestyle and reality programming and has enjoyed once in a lifetime experiences on the original teams of Canadian Idol, U8TV The Lofters and Camilla Scott.

 

 

Sue Wheeler
Chief Financial Officer

RTR gained a keen financial mind when Sue joined the company in 2008 as CFO. A Chartered Accountant, she has had her own accounting & tax consulting practice since 1990, advising small, medium & large clients. Sue directs RTR's fiscal strategy and is working to maximize the company's pecuniary potential.

Toni Miceli
Head of Production

Toni is RTR’s newest addition, as she takes the position of Head of Production.

She brings an impressive track record in production management, having successfully managed numerous million dollar budgets and an ever-growing multi-million dollar production slate.

Prior to joining RTR, Toni spent time with 11 Television Canada, where she was the Executive in Charge of Production for their international hits Destination Fear (Travel US) and Panic Button (Space & TruTV).  Toni also spent several years as the VP of Magee TV, where she was in charge of development, financing, and production management of all new and returning television series.

Some of her production credits include Executive Producer of Food Network Canada’s Everyday Exotic, Producer of W Network’s Smart Woman Survival Guide and Line Producer for LIFE Network’s popular fashion series, So Chic, HGTV’s decorating hits Design Rivals and Love by Design. She was also responsible for the operations on the Gemini Award winning Animal Magnetism


 

Carolynne Bell 
Head of Scripted Development

Carolynne is joining Kit Redmond and RTR Media to build a new scripted development incubator called Sea2Sky.  Together they are building a slate of scripted projects. With over 20 years of experience in the Canadian and International Entertainment business, Carolynne, has accumulated a vast array of Producer credits.  In the last few years, Carolynne has produced a variety of feature films, MOWs, Documentaries and most recently ventured into the world of unscripted Drama.  Most notable among her credits are the feature film Deeply (2002 TIFF, Cannes), Citizen Duane (2006 TIFF, Cannes), the MOW’s Zeyda and the Hitman (2004 CTV), and Waking Up Wally: The Walter Gretzky Story (2005 CBC), and the Documentaries A Spies Life: Kitty Harris and Captive: The Story of Ester Wheelwright (2006 History Channel).

 

Carolynne produced the hit reality series From the Ground Up with Debbie Travis (2008), and Timed Out, a pilot for W in collaboration with RTR media.  Recently she Executive produced Maxed Out (season IV) and Dollars & Sense.   In addition to wearing her Executive producer hat, Carolynne is the mother of four, an avid cyclist, dedicated volunteer at the Trillium Breast Cancer center and a mentor with WIFT.

Scott McGillivray 
Host of Income Property,
Executive Producer and Co-Founder of SKIT Inc.

Scott McGillivray is a full-time real estate investor, executive producer, television host, and educator.

Prior to graduating from The University of Guelph, with an Honors degree in Commerce, McGillivray had already discovered his calling.  What began as an ambitious school project about income properties, developed into a unique and strategic business model that McGillivray would later execute himself.   Now, over 10 years later, McGillivray has built his own real estate empire with dozens of properties, housing hundreds of tenants.

McGillivray is best known as the host of HGTV’s hit series Income Property. In each episode, he rescues cash-strapped homeowners, and teaches them how to generate income from their existing residence - just as he has done.

With the success of Income Property, 2011 saw McGillivray, alongside longtime colleague, Kit Redmond, establish SKIT Inc; a company solely devoted to the development of the Scott McGillivray brand.

With the birth of SKIT, the savvy McGillivray has officially forayed into the world of producing, currently serving as an Executive Producer on Income Property, Season 7.

Anne Francis
Series Producer

Anne has had a long association with RTR Media: most recently as Series Producer on Summer Home. She also Series produced Burn My Mortage and the final two seasons of the Gemini nominated financial series, Maxed Out. She developed Maxed Out – The Body Revolution and is currently developing new projects for RTR.

Before joining RTR, Anne wrote and produced four seasons of TVO’s Reach for the Top and wrote a weekly column for the Globe and Mail. A long-time storyteller, Anne has also enjoyed an incarnation as an actor working in theatre, television and film.

 


Bobbi Wilson
Series Producer

Bobbi Wilson is an accomplished member of the RTR team.  Starting out as a production coordinator on RTR’s first series, Sexy Girl, Bobbi quickly moved her way up and has worked on over 8 RTR productions. Most recently Bobbi was a producer on 2 seasons of the HGTV Canada series Summer Home. Bobbi has also directed on Summer Home, HGTV’s Income Property, Slice’s Instant Beauty Pageant, and W’s Maxed Out. She also series produced RTR’s live financial series, Dollars and Sense. 
 
Inspired by the RTR philosophy and its collaborative method, Bobbi and RTR are a perfect fit!

 

Ryan Grantham
Post Production Supervisor

Since joining RTR in early 2009, Ryan has had his hands on everything Post related to come through the front door. Sometimes unofficial 'Tech Support' around the office, Ryan works at everything from scheduling to budgeting to final approvals and deliverables. Ryan prides himself in his 'relaxed under pressure' demeanour, strong organizational skills, efficiency, discipline and consistency to allow him to provide a productive and enjoyable work environment. Some of Ryan's production credits include Post Supervising on Income Property from Season 2 onwards, Burn My Mortgage and Summer Home. Ryan has a degree in Film Studies and a diploma in Post Production for Film & Television.

   

Natalie Dixon-Jordan 
Office Manager & Development Manager

With over 15 years experience in a variety of roles including administration, accounting and event planning in the television & film industry, Natalie is known by many as ‘the one who knows many’.    Before joining RTR Media in 2009, Natalie saw 11 years of programming with Canwest Broadcasting (formally Alliance Atlantis), home to the Food Network Canada, Slice Network, Discovery Health, Fine Living TV, Showcase, History Television and HGTV Canada.  Though her production credits range from Programming Coordinator, Office Manager, Business Affairs Manager, Development Manager, Natalie’s talents, unique management style and philosophies touch all facets of production programming at RTR.
